Drawing Algorithms

An algorithm, drawn by a 22-year-old female student of social work in Switzerland.

You can draw something spontaneously. An algorithm, hmm. [laughs] I have no idea. I don't know. Pff... How do you visualize it? I don't know. I'm drawing waves now. Okay. [laughs] Can you tell me anything about that? No [laughs] No? [laughs] I don't know. Have you ever heard of algorithms? Yes, but I have no idea how to draw it or visualize it in any way. Um, where did you hear of algorithms? We had it in school but not really… In school? So yes. Do you have any associations? No. [silence] So where would you place this? Algorithms? Isn't that always... [longer silence] Yeah... Well, I would explain it as being created to calculate data, for example, and then they are like this... No idea. [laughs] That's super. Data is transmitted in such a way... pfiiiu [noise to show data transfer] So there's something happening with the data, you’re saying something is calculated? Exactly, yes [laughs] Okay, that's great. [laughs] Thanks a lot.
