Drawing Algorithms

An algorithm, drawn by a 34-year-old male architect in Turkey.

Can you draw how an algorithm works? How an algorithm works... For me, an algorithm is something like this. Actually, there is no such thing like “according to me”. There is a problem and there should be several steps to solve it. And the algorithm is the sequence of steps to solve this problem. Roughly like this. Do I have to give an example for this? If you think your explanation is enough… They tried to explain this to us in school with an example: a cake you put in the oven. "What do you need to make a cake?" The example follows the recipe. Various steps such as ingredients, whether there is enough ingredients, whether it is at the right temperature, to take the cake out when it is at the right temperature, to wait if it is not at the right temperature. So, several steps consisting of if/else. When did you first hear about the algorithms? I can say that I started to hear about it more thoroughly during my master's. I did not deal with such a thing in college. So, in lectures? In lectures. Do you hear anything about algorithms today? Yes. In what context? In what context ... Hmm. So it is not very common in our profession at the moment. Computer-aided design is actually used in architecture. It’s not common in Turkey. Therefore, I encounter algorithms more when I follow technology news in general. Thanks.
